Indigenous Peoples -Diversity & Inclusiveness (Canada)

Our training focus on understanding Indigenous Peoples from their perceptions rather than trying to understood them from the “outside” perceptions of mainstream Canadians since that provides a significantly better understanding of  Indigenous Peoples.

Canada’s current Federal Government is strongly committed to achieving a significantly stronger reconciliation and partnership with Canada’s Indigenous peoples. It will be implemented by new Federal Government Indigenous policies backed by new legislation on or before October, 2019.

This strong commitment by the Federal Government to Canada’s Indigenous Peoples will have significant inclusiveness implications for Canadians and organizations in Canada. The goal is to achieve greater Indigenous equality; address social and economic gaps experienced by Canada’s Indigenous Peoples; and advancing Indigenous People’s self-determination.

The Rt. Hon. Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada stated on February 14, 2018: “….undo decades of mistrust, poverty, broken promises, and injustices” (source: https://pm.gc.ca).

Canada’s Indigenous Peoples consist of three distinct Groups: First Nations; Metis; and Inuit (aka “Eskimo”). The different tribes in each Group have a wide diversity of cultures such as their tribe’s values, beliefs, language, ceremonies, traditions, and their guiding insights derived from their spiritual world.

The Indigenous Peoples culture, values, and viewpoints are very different than mainstream Canadians which have viewpoints based on the Western World’s culture of scientific thinking and understanding.

I would be glad to customize our presentation to meet your specific requirements.
